Leisure Activities
Travel to Monaco with its impressive marina, Cannes for great shopping and eateries, Antibes with its historic walled city and the glamorous Cap d’Antibes as well as Nice, St Tropez, picturesque Seillans, dubbed the most beautiful village in France, and the historic artists centre St Paul de Vence, home of the world famous Colombe d’Or hotel.
Other
attractions include Marine Land in Antibes, which has other theme parks
and
is opposite Antibes Land (advertised in Parcs & Loisirs). Also Domaine
Sant 'Estello (Domaine Barbossi), where there is a children's' playground
and pony trekking about 5 km out on the N7 towards Frejus. The estate also
produces its own local 'vin du pays'.
The Fragonard perfume factory tour in central Grasse is excellent with a lovely shop. Do visit the Tourist Information Offices in both Mandelieu and La Napoule. They offer a great source of local knowledge and information on all leisure and cultural activities taking place in the area and the region.
Gastronomie
There is no shortage of fantastic restaurants in and around Mandelieu La Napoule, including the two Michelin star L‘Oasis in La Napoule village. At Le Brocherie II on the marina at La Napoule you will be greeted by the waiters carrying a platter of mouth-watering freshly caught fish to choose from. There is also a lobster lagoon in the area.
Marco Polo, at Theoule sur Mer, is a charming family run restaurant that is open all year and is always busy. Booking is recommended even in low season as it is a favourite with the locals. (Tel no. 04 93 49 96 59).
Le Potiniere du Palais, opposite the Palais des Festivals on the Croisette in Cannes, specialises in simple but elegant food and is a favourite with Meg Ryan, Mel Gibson and Tom Hanks during the Cannes Film Festival. And of course don’t forget to take a trip to the restaurants of Mougins!
Golf
All year round golf is almost guaranteed on the Cote d’Azur, on a variety of landscapes, with courses suited to all levels. There are 19+ courses to choose from, all within one hours drive.
In Mandelieu there are two excellent golf courses. The Riviera Golf Club and the Old Course Cannes Mandelieu. Riviera Golf Club. Built during the 1990’s, Riviera Golf was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior. Mostly level with some hills and lakes. This is an 18 hole, par 72 course of 5,736 metres with practice tees and putting green.

The Old Course, Cannes-Mandelieu Inaugurated in 1891, is the oldest course on the coast. A very beautiful course lined with umbrella pines around the Siagne River. During the course of a game, you even have to take a short boat ride. This is an 18-hole course of 5,676 metres, par 71, complete with a 9-hole course of 2,409 meters, par 33. There is a good practice area and a lovely old world clubhouse.

Skiing
For winter sports, there are no less than 15 ski resorts within a two hour drive offering varied terrain for all levels of skiing and snowboarding.
